You have a heritage; honor it. You will meet temptation; withstand it. You know the truth; live it. You possess a testimony; share it. -Pres. Thomas S. Monson

Divine Potential

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is
that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness
that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t
feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as little children do.
Its not just in some of us, its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are
liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Moments In Life

You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "Gordon B. Hinckley

The Thinking Table

Ok....So I try not to brag to much on my blog, but use it more as another way to keep record of pictures and stories that I know we will cherish as a family. But I just have to brag this time. The girls were so cute the other day. I try to keep an organized and clean house. My kids have been really interested in doing chores lately even though they are not that old, but they learn so much at a young age. That has been proven. We talk about how everyone has to do their share, why dad goes to work, and how we can serve each other.

The girls were on the biggest high ever. They have always been willing to do things here and there around the house, but they just went overboard yesterday. They folded the clothes that were on my bed, put them away, organized my shoes in my closet and their's, organized all of their toys, cleaned up their room, cleaned the bathroom, and kept going back to their "thinking table" to "think of other things they could do"

The thinking table....the thinking table is their toy table that they decided they would all sit around and decide what they would do next. They would organize their shoes and then run back to their "thinking table" and then come up with the next thing. They set the table for dinner, colored David and me a picture, put Lacey's pajamas on her....

Then this morning it continued with the thinking table. They picked up the living room, folded more laundry (since there is never a day without laundry). David and I just looked at each other and wondered how long this would last, but for now it is awesome. This is the bonus of having all GIRLS! If we had boys they would have been using the thinking table as a diving board. I JUST LOVE IT!!!! I also love that they are picky when it comes to making sure that things are in the right place...like when they organize their toys..."everything has a label." So yes I guess it is paying off.

So cute! I hope my girls end up wanting to help like that. I have a pretty hard time convincing Megan to clean her room right now.

That is sooo adorable!!! lexi already wants to help me with chores... you know taking stuff out of the dishwasher(clean or dirty) and putting it in the pantry!! Oh yeah and taking clean dishes and putting them in the dishwasher with the dirty ones ;-). She also loves to help wipe down her table. I just hope she still wants to help when she's 12!!
